Last week, representatives from the FOLOU project—Espigoladors, UNIBO, UNIVPM, and BETA TC—attended the II FoodWaStop Conference in Córdoba, Spain. This event, held on March 4-5, 2025, brought together experts and stakeholders to discuss innovative strategies for preventing, managing, and valorising agro-food loss and waste (FLW).
As part of the conference, FOLOU partners contributed to the discussions by presenting two research posters:
The FoodWaStop Conference, funded by the COST ACTION programme, aims to build a multi-actor European network focused on FLW prevention, technological innovations, and sustainable management strategies. It also fosters collaboration beyond the EU, engaging stakeholders across the entire food value chain—from farmers to consumers.
By participating in this conference, FOLOU partners contributed to the ongoing conversation on food loss and waste, strengthening connections with researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders. Their involvement aligns with FOLOU’s mission to advance knowledge, promote circular bio-economy solutions, and develop effective strategies for tackling food loss.
