Second Free Online Course: Measuring Food Loss

The partners of the FOLOU project have launched their second free online course, “Measuring Food Loss: Implementing the FOLOU Methodology.” Developed by the University of Reading and hosted on Ubiqua (UVic-UCC), this course builds on the introductory course Understanding Food Loss.

In this course, you’ll learn why measuring food loss is essential, how to apply the FOLOU food loss definition, and how to measure food loss in agriculture, aquaculture, and fisheries. You will also discover how food loss data can be aggregated at local, regional, and national levels, and how to use the FOLOU reporting system and registry. The course is suitable for anyone with an interest in food loss, including farmers, advisors, researchers, public administrators, and policymakers.
