Following up on the event of July 2025, 28 participants representing various actors of the food supply chain in Austria came together for the second edition of “Have Your Say! Promoting Sustainable Agriculture Effectively” on February 9th 2026. As the previous event, the workshop was co-organised for the EU projects FOLOU, NutriBudget and DeliSoil by FOLOU partner PROMAN and took place at the AGES Academy in Vienna.
The afternoon session was dedicated to food loss and waste and started with an overview of the FOLOU project and its latest results followed by presentation of the sister project WASTELESS and ToNoWaste project which are also active in Austria. Afterwards, like in the July event, participants gathered in small groups to discuss specific measures that primary producers, retailers, consumers and the research community can take to contribute to food loss prevention and reduction. For this purpose, they were presented with a set of recommendations pre-identified in the project (among others based on the recommendations identified in the July workshop) and asked to verify relevance and practicability and prioritise these recommendations.
Together with corresponding workshops in the other FOLOU partner countries and a more detailed written review process during the upcoming months, outcomes from the workshop will provide the basis for a comprehensive review of stakeholder practice guidelines developed in the project.
