Today is the International Day of Awareness of #FoodLoss and #FoodWaste! Calculating the impact of #FoodLoss in the primary sector is not easy, due to the lack of real appropriate methodologies to do it. In a time when most European public administrations are working on new policies to mitigate these phenomena, it is essential to propose and consolidate new methods of calculating the #environmental, #social and #economic impact of food losses.
The FOLOU project will contribute to make #Catalonia a reference territory in this sense. This international project is coordinated by the BETA Technological Center, and at catalan level also counts with the participation of Espigoladors, the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Agència de Residus de Catalunya.
