Webinar Meeting 2: Navigating Reliable Diagnoses for Measuring Food Losses in the Primary Sector of the Supply Chain

The second webinar of the FOLOU project is titled ‘Navigating Reliable Diagnoses for Measuring Food Losses in the Primary Sector of the Supply Chain’ and will be held on the 11th of April 2024 from 11:00 to 13:00 (GMT +2).

Once consensus is reached on the definition of “food loss, ” a flexible quantification methodology becomes imperative for a comprehensive understanding of the issue. Achieving this necessitates an adaptable methodology suitable for various sectors in primary production—crop fields, aquaculture, and livestock farming—across different scenarios within the European Union.

In this second meeting, we will introduce FOLOU’s proposals for quantifying and collecting both quantitative and qualitative data in each primary sector. Our goal is to address challenges and difficulties, not only finding solutions but also formulating a versatile methodology applicable across diverse regions. This strategic approach ensures consistent measurement of the problem, enhancing understanding and streamlining efforts for reduction across different territories.
